LVT Flooring Structure
Structural Description
UV Layer: Enhances the anti-fouling, antibacterial and waterproof properties of the floor, and can also make the floor surface glossy or matte.
Wearlayer: Resists friction and scratches between the soles of shoes or large items and the ground, protects the decorative layer on the surface of the floor, and prolongs the use time of the floor. The thickness of the wear-resistant layer is related to the durability of the floor, and the common thickness is 0.3-0.7mm.
Decorative layer: Simulates the texture and color of natural materials such as wood and marble, giving the floor a rich and diverse appearance to meet the needs of different decoration styles.
Base material balancing layer: A composite floor covering material formed by mixing calcium powder and resin powder in a certain proportion, as the main bearing part of the floor, provides strength and stability, and enables the floor to have a certain impact resistance.
Pressure stabilization layer: Enhances the stability of the floor structure, prevents deformation of the floor, improves the compression resistance, and makes the floor less likely to be damaged when bearing heavy objects.
Anti-slip layer: Anti-slip, shock-absorbing, sound-insulating, while enhancing the applicability and comfort of the floor in a humid environment.

Floating Click Lock
Long side oblique insertion and locking
- Align the long side tongue (raised part) of the floorboard with the long side groove (groove) of the laid floorboard at an angle of 30°.
- Insert obliquely and press down gently. A “click” sound indicates preliminary locking.
Short side sliding docking
- Keep the long side connected, and slide the short side tongue parallel to the short side groove of the adjacent floorboard.
- Push horizontally until both ends are completely aligned.
Short side soft hammer auxiliary locking
- Place a plastic knocking block at the short side joint (to protect the edge of the floorboard).
- Tap the knocking block with a soft rubber hammer to ensure that the short side is completely locked and eliminate slight gaps.
Comprehensive inspection
- Press the joint by hand to confirm that there is no looseness or warping.
- Repeat the above steps to complete the laying of the whole house.
Glue-Down
The LVT floor is directly glued to the ground with a special floor glue, which is especially suitable for large commercial spaces or high-traffic areas.
- Make the floor flat (error ≤3mm/2m), dry (water content <4%), and dust-free.
- Water-based acrylic glue: environmentally friendly and low-odor, suitable for indoor use.
- Use double-sided gluing method (ground + back of floor) to ensure 100% bonding coverage.
- The glue will initially set in about 1-2 hours, and it will take 24-48 hours to fully cure (avoid weight during this period).
What is LVT in flooring
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile)Flooring is a high-end elastic floor material made through a multi-layer composite process, combining beauty, durability and practicality.
