What Is Film Faced Plywood
Film Faced Plywood is a high-performance engineered wood panel produced by bonding multiple layers of wood veneers (such as poplar, eucalyptus, or hardwood) with WBP (Weather and Boil Proof) phenolic glue, then pressing a smooth phenolic film onto both faces under high temperature and pressure.
The film surface — available in black, brown, or custom colors — creates an exceptionally hard, smooth, and chemically resistant face that repels water, prevents surface contamination, and allows repeated reuse in concrete formwork applications. The same smooth surface quality is prized in furniture manufacturing and interior decoration for its clean, lacquer-ready finish.
